Glass fiber chopped strand mat is a sheet-like consumable made by chopping glass fiber filaments into 50mm lengths, randomly and uniformly laying them without orientation, then bonding them together with powder or emulsion binders, or stitching them with a loop structure.
Chopped strand rovings are widely used in hand lay-up processes. Glass fiber chopped strand mat is mainly suitable for unsaturated polyester resins, with end products including boats and various panels. Stitched chopped strand mat has high tensile strength and is primarily recommended for pultrusion or continuous filament winding processes.
